((Okay, that sounds good))

Akira stopped, hidden within branches to think for a moment. She needed a strategy, but first she needed to find out where the enemies were, and more importantly, who they were, why were they attacking her? Her eyes scanned the trees where the kunai had come from for any movement. There was no wind, the day was clear. She inhaled, slowing down her breathing. She then exhaled, and she saw the bushes rustle a bit, she could see a bit of a shinobi.. She was unsure anything else about them, but the way they threw kunai they were defenately shinobi.

For a second, her eyes averted from where the enemies were, to where the other shinobi were, the ones that were with her, not against. She was hesitant to call them her team, being unsure if they would abandon her like her other team. Incase that happened, she was ready to fight alone if need be. Her hand quickly opened her kunai pouch, and withdrew two.

Akira turned so she was hidden to any bystanders by a tree, as she pressed her back against it. Her eyes were almost glued onto the spot, and she watched as the ninjas moved, jumping up so that they were in sight to all of their enemies. There were four of them, all older and looked quite strong. Akira could feel a sweat drop slide down her face, falling from her cheek. She then turned so that she was standing on a tree branch, in sight to everyone. She kept a hand on the tree beside her, as the enemies stated, "Okay, we will leave you alone if you give us the girl, alright?" Then the one that was talking looked over at Akira, who was wondering if they would turn her over to them, although she hoped not.

Huh? is he referring to Akira?, hmnn I knew there was something strange about her! Naruto shrugged looking at the enemy with piercing eyes, then pointed at them with his index finger. "Were not giving anyone up, so you can just go home and leave us be, or I might just have to start handing out ass kickings!" Naruto exclaimed in his usual, "I'm too cool" to be beat tone of voice.

Perhaps it was his ambition, or maybe his will to become Hokage, but Naruto never backed down from a challenge and he never will. Regardless, Naruto sent in his 4 clones after the enemise each of them running at them at full speed. It was a dumb move to say the least. The were going to be destroyed and there would be no chance whatsoever that the clones were gonna land a hit. Why? because frontal attacks are easy to evade and counterattack. They are basic manuvers that even an academy level shinobi should know how to counter.

Even if he said nothing, Sasuke agreed with Naruto. Abandoning Akira was no option. Not only would the mission be a failure, but even without the mission Sasuke didn´t considered handing her over as an idea. He readied himself for an attack, as the others did as well. Naruto was the first one, and Sasuke expected it to be a good first strike.

Seeing Narutos attack however, he found that this might work as a cover-up for his attack. He concentrated his chakra, did various handsigns and muttered "Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu!". Instantly, a dozen fireballs were flying towards the enemy, and that wasn´t the only thing. Even Sasuke barely noticed it, but Kakashi had some shuriken hidden inside the flames. A good idea... I should remember this.

The flames were well-hidden behind Narutos Kage Bunshins and were probably enough to hit the enemies. Sakura on the other hand drew a kunai and positioned her in a defensive stance. She was obviously not too fond of an agressive tactic.

Akira could feel herself calming down a bit from Narutos response. She was glad that they weren't going to give her up.. But even if they had chosen that path she wouldnt have gone down without a fight. She let the breath out that she had been holding in, as she felt relieved of some of the stress that was upon her shoulders.

Watching Naruto send his clones at the enemies, she sighed to herself, and took out a two kunais, one in each hand, she spun them. She stopped them, the blades facing the ground. This gave her some leway, being able to think through what she would choose for her next attack. She could go offensive, of defensive, she would wait for a moment to see what the others did.

The enemies looked almost slighlty amused. Akira then placed her fingers, while her palm was still gripping the kunai, on the tree that she was standing by, and pushed, lifting up her feet and jumping backwards. Before that, she placed an explosive scroll on the tree where she was jumping from, where the enemies could not see. While in the air, she put a smoke bomb attached to a branch, a higher one - hanging by a string.

Akira landed, one of her knees down on a branch a few trees ahead of the Konoha group. She readied her kunai in her left hand, to throw at the smoke bomb if need be, and assumed an offensive position, ready to attack with the kunai in her right hand. She could tell that the enemies could not tell that she had done anything.

The enemies looked like they werent very worried. They simply drew out a kunai each, and readied themselves to clear the shadow clones. When the clones were a mere few feet ahead of them, they threw their kunais, and exchanged smirks. the clones exploded, a puff of smoke appearing where they were. The smoke was only 2 or 3 feet infront of them, and then the flames appeared. They looked suprised. "Get down!" The one on the left yelled, and jumped down. The one on the right was quick enough to follow. But the two that were in the middle were washed by flames. All that was to be heard was muffled screams, and the bodies fall down. They weren't dead, only injured. Akira for some reason wasn't too fond of killing unless she had a reason, or a strong hate against the person.

Akira then jumped back, doing a backflip in midair. She only did this so that she could use a branch to keep her steady, nothing that she did was for show. She could care alot less about what the other people had to think about her. She landed beside Sasuke, just a quiet thump proving that it was her. She hoped that he would have a plan, but she hid it pretty well on her face.

The tension in Team 7 eased a bit when they saw that the jutsu worked. Another encounter like Zabuza would have been rather dangerous for the Genins. Still, they´re opponents weren´t finished yet, so there was no reason to calm down yet. One blond ninja however thought otherwise. "Hah! You see that! That´s what you get for messing with me!" sulked Naruto towards the enemy, and even though Kakashi shortly mentioned that it was basically Sasukes jutsu which injured the enemy, Naruto still mocked the enemy a bit on, much to Sakuras dismay.

The enemies seemed stunned for a few moments, and they noticed that Akira was back with them. All but Naruto had noticed she was gone for a while in the battle. Kakashi turned around to Akira, his eye hardened a little when he scolded her mildly. "You shouldn´t go off when we´re under attack. You risk our lifes as well. If we don´t stick together, we´re as good as dead." Sakura agreed hastily. "Yeah, where have you been?"

Sasukes attention however still was with the enemy. He shouted down to the enemys who were now down at the ground "What do you want? Why did you attack us?", but the only response he got was laughter and an answer from what seemed to be their leader: "We´ll come back soon!", before they vanished bakc into the trees with their wounded camerads on the shoulders.

Naruto and Sasuke both wanted to go after them, but were hold back by Kakashi, who simply shook his head. They understood. Something like that would expose them to too much danger, and it wasn´t part of the mission. Besides, it was likely that they we´re missing-nins. They didn´t seem to have a forehead protectors...

After they calmed down from the rush of the battle, Naruto turned towards Akira. "Oi, nee-chan, why did they attack you? Have you done something to them?"

Akira cringed at the enemy's voice. Yes, she had defenately heard that voice before. A few years ago... Akira shook her head, trying to push all of those thoughts and feelings into the back of her mind. This wasn't the right place or time to deal with these things. She just glared, her mind set. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. No.. She wouldn't break down. She had to remain strong, and follow the way of a ninja.

She lowered her head and closed her eyes as the shinobi vanished. She wanted to go after them so bad.. But she made it look like she wouldn't move. But honestly, she had to force herself to stay put. Her right fist shook, then she gave a short sigh. Then Kakashi nagged her out, followed by Sakura. She felt like running up and punching both of them. They didn't know what it was like.

She then turned to face the group. "Yeah, I know." Was all that she could manage. She didn't want to start to yell at these people. She was like a bomb, ticking, just waiting to get set off. She would wait untill she got home and do what she usually does.. Just go somewhere where no one is and just let her emotions flow. That was one of the reasons that she wanted to get back to Kumogakure, and the other was to demand her father the answer as to why these people were hunting her down. Why they wanted her dead, or atleast why they wanted her in the first place. This bugged her all the time, haunting her from its place in her head

Akira was tugged away from her thoughts at Naruto's question. "Eh, Naruto-kun, that is a question that I would like answered as well." She muttered, and shook her head lightly.

Naruto looked down, apparently thoughtful on what happened just now. "Hmm, maybe they just confused you with someone else, nee-chan!" the stupid look on his face told everyone, that he was dead serious about that, he actually believed what he just said. It was Sasuke who voiced his first thought about the thing he just heard. "Just don´t think too much, clumsy idiot!". For probably the first time, Naruto wasn´t angry at Sasuke, but rather stunned.

There was a little awkward silence within the group, before Kakashi broke the silence by commenting with a sigh "Well, at least no one is injured.". They looked at each other. Indeed, none of them even had a scratch, and Akira looked just fine, too. Were they just lucky or was the opponent too weak? While Kakashi and Sakura decided for the former for themselves, Sasuke (inwardly), Inner Sakura and Naruto thought different. "Of course they had no chance. The future Hokage is no match for anyone!", he bragged about his fake success. This earned him a punch from Sakura, followed by a yelled scolding "It was Sasuke-kuns jutsu who drove them away, you baka!", then turning towards Sasuke, she added with a much sweeter voice "Your jutsu was great, Sasuke-kun!". The typical reaction was a desperate Naruo, who only muttered a "Sakura-chan..." and Sasukes "Hn!". Kakashi only sighed again. This wasn´t the first time for him to see this. He turned around, and waved over them. "Well, we should get going, right?"

"At least someone´s thinking right"
, thought Sasuke, before he too turned in the direction of their destination, Sunagakure, the Village Hidden in the Sand.

Akira just watched the scene unravel infront of her. Her eyes shifted from left to right, setting on whichever person was talking at that moment. She had to smirk to herself, okay, it was a little bit funny. Althogh Kakashi seemed to think not, Akira had a hard time telling because of his mask. The inner Akira laughed abit, she thought that this was hilarious. But the outer Akira remaned quiet, with a small smirk platered on her face. The wind had picked up, not too hard but now her hair blew a bit in the wind. Akira pushed her hair out of her face, and then looked around her to make sure that the enemys really left.

Akira then looked up at the sky. It was getting darker, so they should really get a move on. By that she meant start heading to Sunagakure, where they were to meet Akiras new teammate.. Akira had no idea who it was, or if she knew the person. She didn't really care at the moment though. Akira moved her hand to her kunai pouch and opened it. She counted her kunais, and was relieved that she was only missing one. She then looked over at the Konoha group, and then back at the sky. She smiled a little bit, then said, "Come on, we'd better start moving!" And with that, she jumped up, landed on a branch, then jumped to another one in the direction of Sunagakure.

(Sorry for the short post.. But feel free to fast forward a few hours if you'd like)
